We recognise that our learners may need additional support before they are ready to fully engage in the curriculum. Therefore, we typically focus on 4 key areas.
To know our students, their strengths, interests and needs. We use this knowledge to make the best possible personalised offer to them.
To provide a balanced, accessible and relevant range of learning experiences with an enthusiasm to learn.
To develop our students as learners and as young people, such that they are confident in knowledge that they have learned, have learned the skills and ability to show resilience and self-regulation.
We provide a “Keep in touch” approach To guide, support and assist in the positive reintegration and transition of student onto their next step or back into a mainstream educational setting.
Creative Learning offers a part-time mentoring programme for children and young people aged 7 to 19 who have faced challenges in mainstream education. This includes those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) as well as Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
We provide one-to-one mentoring with a curriculum tailored to each individual’s needs. Our approach emphasizes the importance of routines, relationships, respect, and trust to create a foundation for successful learning.
Our programme supports both Primary and Secondary/Post-16 students, offering unique opportunities in a nurturing environment. We focus on fostering positive relationships with both adults and peers to promote engagement in learning.
By adopting a trauma-informed approach, we help young people re-engage with education, enabling them to make social, emotional, and academic progress.
